Overview
History of establishment
On April 1, 2010, the Field Production Science Center and the Experimental Station for Landscape Plants attached to the Graduate School of Agricultural and Life Science were reorganized to incorporate the educational and research functions of the Tanashi Experimental Station (currently The University of Tokyo Tanashi Forest).

Council on Economic and Fiscal Policy
The organization's education and research and business operations should be evaluated regularly by commissioning an outside expert.
Social Cooperation Council
The purpose is to have the three parties, the organization, the citizens, and the government, discuss on an equal footing and contribute to the development of education and research through social cooperation, contribution to society, and the promotion of collaborative projects with the citizens and the government.
Education and Research Department
It consists of information and social research area, agriculture and forestry ecosystem research area, biogeochemical cycle research area, and various charge.
